The Black Repertory Theatre of Kansas City offers three levels of actor compensation:
Volunteer: No pay, but valuable professional experience
Stipend Volunteer: Those who consistently work on professional stages but are non-union.
Equity Contract: Special appearance contracts are offered to union performers.
